江苏徐州人。1998年9月考入东南大学，2001年10月获博士学位。2001年6月起在复旦大学管理科学与工程博士后流动站工作。2003年5月进入复旦大学软件学院，当年被聘为副教授，硕士生导师，主要负责本科生和各类研究生电子商务、管理信息系统和商务智能的教学，其中电子商务被评为复旦大学精品课程和上海市教委重点建设课程，商务智能被评为教育部－IBM精品课程、上海市教委重点建设课程和复旦大学精品课程，面向服务的业务流程管理获得教育部-IBM精品课程。目前主要研究方向包括电子商务、流程管理和智能决策等。近几年来主持国家自然科学基金2项，中国博士后科研基金1项，参加863高技术、上海市科委等多项课题。2001年获中国高校科技进步一等奖，2009年和2010年获IBM中国优秀教师奖教金。已在《管理科学学报》、《系统工程学报》、《系统工程理论与实践》、《系统工程与电子技术》、《小型微型计算机系统》、《计算机集成制造系统》、IEEE SMC、PAKDD、Journal of Software等权威、核心刊物和国际重要学术会议发表学术论文80多篇，在计算机教育相关国际会议、《计算机教育》等发表教学论文7篇。著作《流程管理》由知识产权出版社出版，教材《电子商务模式》、《电子商务模式（第二版）》、《商务智能》、《商务智能（第二版）》分别由复旦大学出版社和清华大学出版社出版。曾担任ICEBE2006-2011，IEEE SMC 2007-2010，ISECS 2009-2011等多个国际会议程序委员和主席，国内《系统工程学报》、《哈尔滨工业大学学报（英文版）》、《系统工程与电子技术》、《计算机集成制造系统》、《中国科学技术大学学报》、《系统工程理论与实践》等多个核心刊物以及Service Oriented Computing and Applications，Software and Systems Modeling 等国际学术刊物的审稿专家，山东财政学院计算机学院外聘教授，上海市电子商务专家服务团专家，2006年香港大学访问学者，2011年纽约大学（NYU）访问学者。

Weidong Zhao was born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. He got his Master's degree from Hefei University of Technology in 1998 and PhD from Southeast University under the supervision of professor Sheng Zhaohan. In 2001, he was awarded the first prize for Technology Advance of Chinese Universities by Ministry of Education. He worked as a post-doctorate at Management School, Fudan University from June 2001 to May 2003 together with professor Huang Lihua. From June 2003 on, he has been at Software School of Fudan University as an associate professor. His areas of interest include decision-making support, business intelligence and electronic business etc. He has been responsible for the courses including electronic business and business intelligence, which were rewarded as the Elite courses separately by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and IBM-Ministry of Education in 2009. In recent years, he has taken part in more than ten research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Shanghai Science Committee and Shanghai Telecommunication etc. Among them, TWO projects have been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 70301004, No.71071038) (project investigor). During the time, he also published over 80 research papers in important Chinese, international journals and international conferences such as International Journal of Software, International Journal of Network and Computer Applications, Journal of Systems Engineering, Systems engineering Theory & Practice, Systems engineering & Electronic technology, Systems engineering Theory Method Application, Mini-Micro Systems, Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems and IEEE SMC2006, PAKDD2007 etc. He is also the author of four books named E-business models, Process Management and business intelligence, which have been published separately by Fudan University Press in 2006,Intellectual Property Press in 2007 and Tsinghua University Press in 2009. He often serves as the reviewer for some key periodicals and international conferences in the areas of e-business, management information systems such as Journal of Systems Engineering, Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems, Systems engineering & Electronic technology, Service Oriented Computing and Applications, Software and Systems Modeling, and Program Committee Chair ISECS 2011, PC Member for ICEBE2007-2011, IEEE SMC 2007-2009, ISECS 2009-2010 etc. In 2006, he visited Hong Kong University as a visiting scholar. He is a member of the expert committee of Beijing information industry, and Shanghai E-business Expert Service Team. And he is invited to be master trainer for SAP BI Training in China. Now, he is a visiting scholar of New York University.
